A Letter from the Secretary-General

Dear Prospective Delegates and Advisors:

My name is Farhan Choudhury and it is my honor to serve as the Secretary-General for the twenty-third Cornell Model United Nations Conference. On behalf of our entire Secretariat team, we would like to invite you to join us for our conference from April 10-13, 2025.

The delegate experience is the center of CMUNC’s efforts–we constantly strive to introduce creative and challenging committees, encouraging delegates to think critically and consider some of the world’s most pressing issues. At the conclusion of our conference, we hope that you will leave with a refined understanding of international affairs and a new perspective of the world around you. Model UN had such an impact on myself, so it is my sincere hope that our conference may provide that opportunity for you.

To new delegates, welcome! We hope that you will enjoy your time at CMUNC and that it may challenge you–regardless of your Model UN experience. CMUNC prioritizes remaining accessible and inclusive and we are very enthusiastic about welcoming you to our conference.

To returning delegates, thank you and welcome back! CMUNC’s growth and consistent improvement would not be possible without your feedback and support. Our goal is always to get better each and every year. We hope this year’s conference will continue to be an educational and enjoyable experience for you all.

This year’s CMUNC will continue to push your intellectual limits and challenge your Model UN skills–come with a desire to learn and an open mind! Until April, should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me (sg@cmunc.net) or any of our Secretariat members via email. We are eagerly preparing for your arrival.

Sincerely,

Farhan Choudhury, Secretary-General
