Position Paper Policy

Please use this Google Form to submit your position papers: Position Paper Submission. If you have multiple position papers, please compile them into one document for submission. For guidance on preparation for CMUNC, please visit the preparation page of the website. Position papers are due by April 17th, 2024 at 5:00PM ET. Delegates who submit their position papers after this deadline will not be eligible for awards.

Position papers are required for all delegates wishing to be eligible for awards. Position papers should be written in a standard font (i.e. Times New Roman, EB Garamond, Georgia, Palatino) and size (12 point or lower), single-spaced, and include the following:
- Header including delegate name, committee, assignment, and delegation;
- One page of content per topic;
- Sources used in preparation of the position paper (formatting not necessary).

Position papers are expected to be a delegates’s own, original work. Generative Artificial Intelligence programs may not be used in the writing of position papers. Any evidence of plagiarism or of the use of AI in writing a position paper will result in a delegate being ineligible for awards.
