United nations educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, or UNESCO, is the UN agency responsible for increasing access to education and preserving cultural heritage. These are both under threat today more than ever. UNESCO hopes to facilitate peace in the world through spreading its mission. Committee this year will focus on two main topics: narrowing the digital divide and protection of World Heritage Sites.

International labour organization

Welcome to the International Labour Organization! The ILO is a branch of the UN dedicated to bringing together workers, employers, and governments to set labour standards and improve the lives of workers. In this committee, we will address the challenge of ensuring the safety of migrant workers globally and explore methods for conducting comprehensive external audits within the hazardous garment industries in Southeast Asia.

COMMISSION ON SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR DEVELOPMENT

How will our lives be forever altered in the next twenty years by artificial intelligence? This is one of the key issues that the Commission on Science and Technology for Development hopes to address at their upcoming conference in April. From ChatGPT to the development of military weapons, artificial intelligence is rapidly changing our day to day lives. It will be up to this committee to come together and develop guidelines for how the world may be able to safely and effectively use artificial intelligence.
